The Blues.

Theodore sat in his room upon his half-made, queen-sized bed. A set, mattress and box-frame, he received from his grandma a few years back. Fully customized with after-market creaks and a bed frame an inch too big. He was now looking at the sheets. They were bunched up in the corner as if someone attempted to make the bed, stopping after sliding the sheet over one corner. He thought himself a slob, a complete mess. Three seconds later he wasn’t thinking at all. He was looking down at the mattress. He noticed the floral pattern: a pale shade of pink set on a tan background. The two mixing for an overall color tone that reminded him of the sepia feature on digital cameras. He thought: How pointless the floral pattern is. Why do mattress companies even bother? People just cover it up anyways with colored sheets, some with patterns. Oh well. He dropped it.

Theodore, also known as Theo, is simply simple-minded. He is one of the K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid) method believers. His grandfather was the one to initially introduce the method to Theo…..
